Hello Fellow Box Tops Supporters,
Over the weekend I received an e-mail from my sons school (Fir Grove, Beaverton, OR) letting eveyone know that one of our very own teachers was selected from hundreds of nominations as "Educator of the Year" through OnPoint Community Credit Union, a local credit union. Our teacher, Miss. Mary "Molly" Weiby, a 2nd grade teacher has been selected as one of ten finalists. Miss. Weiby was chosen becasuse the Excellence in Education committee that made the selections felt that she was one of the most impactful teachers, inspiring her students (for 40 years), as well as other teachers, and parents too.
The winner of the "Educator of the Year" will accept their award live on our local news, the winner will have their mortgage paid for one year, and their school will also receive a check for $5,000 to use towards student supplies. I want more than anything to have Miss. Weiby win this award, because after 40 years of dedication to teaching (33 years at Fir Grove) she has decided to retire at the end of this school year. She will be missed by the staff members, and students, and I feel lucky to know that the best 2nd grade teacher out their has taught both of my children (my son is in her class this year). She deserves this award in recognition of all her years of dedication and hard work.
If you would like to help Miss. Weiby receive the most votes please folllow the link below,
