My first shopping experience where I purposely went to a specific store, to buy specific items to get teh BTFE bonus.  I went to Walgreens last night and bought 20 dollars worth of BTFE products.  According to the EARN site here, if you buy 15.00 worth, you would get 30 extra box tops.  I even asked the cashier prior to purchase, but she had not heard anything, well.... you guessed it, 20.00 worth of toilet paper products later, and no coupon printed.  She took my name and number and called this morning to say her manager knows nothing of it, and if I could pring the WALGREENS information about it they could look further.

sent an email to BTFE, and to Walgreens Corporate, but it aint looking good... did I do something wrong?

thanks for any help,

doreen

I had the same problem at K-mart, the cashier had no clue what I was talking about even though the signs were all over the store. My boxtops printed out on a receipt at the end. I have not heard of the Walgreens one yet. Hope you get them!!!

Was the store you went to on the list of nearby stores? Do you have the sales paper from the store? It might say something about specific products.

Yes, the store is on the list.  There are no products specified online or in the store.  Store manager had not heard of anything.

This is way too much frustration and trouble for what is basically 1.50 or so (not including all the time to collect, snip, and ship).  I planned this all out, and now have spent three days thinking about it (with no reponse from BTFE or Walgreens) I will just give my school an extra 20 bucks in the btfe box and be thru with thinking about this.

sort of sad - I had high hopes for this.

I left a question on the BTFE Facebook page last night asking what the participating products were for this offer. They answered, "The eligible products are the participating Box Tops products under each of the following categories: General Mills cereal, Progresso, Viva paper towels, Nature Valley bars, and Ziploc storage bags. Hope this helps!"

I read your post.  I don't know if you noticed or not, but some of the cottonelle items (toilet paper) no longer have the box tops on them.  You stated in your post you bought toilet paper.  If you bought Cottonelle, you might have purchased the toilet paper that does not have a box top on it.  That may be why your bonus label didn't print.  I know that BTFE still lists cottonelle as a participating item, but I don't think it's participating anymore as I buy Cottonelle all the time and I have noticed for a few months now that the box tops are no longer on the packages.

I went to Walgreens this evening after getting the official word from BTFE on which products were participating. I went to one location and there was no signage or shelf labels or anything on any of the products so I went on with other business I had and went to a different Walgreens after that. I found yellow tags (which say the offer ends on the 28th) on the shelves where the participating food items were but there was no shelf tags on the paper products. I ended up buying some Ziploc bags, two boxes of cereal and a box of granola bars. Each of the boxes of cereal had two extra BT's :-). My coupon printed out at the end of the transaction without any trouble. It looks like they need to change the ink cartridges as the coupon is pretty light but otherwise it all worked out.

Doreen - I do think the problem for you came about because some of the products you purchased weren't part of the participating products.

I just had the exact same thing happen yesterday! I haven't yet emailed Walgreen's. I'll do that tonight or tomorrow. KMart couldn't provoide a list of participating products, either. I emailed HQ and they had the local manager call me. He was very kind but could not find any documentation in his materials except the shelf sign. **sigh**

ETA: There were no shelf signs in the store I went to (and it was on the list of nearby stores). I checked the cereals, the rest of the food section, etc. Nothing. I guess I bought the wrong stuff (though everything had Box Tops on the packages).

Our local grocery store, Brookshires, had a writeup in their grocery paper this week if you purchase a certain number of products you would get BONUS boxtops.  I was to receive 20 bonus boxtops but did not receive them.  I went to the asst manager who knew nothing of the promotion and reported he would call head office.  Couple of hours later, asst manager called back to say, they were checking into it but so far no bonus boxtops.  I had the same problem last year.

Don't feel alone...it didn't work for me either and the store manager didn't know anything about it.  I also had an experience at KMart where it didn't print out the "coupon" but it was because the cashier neglected to ring up one of my products, I questioned her and she didn't look into it further.  The next day I reviewed my receipt, realized her error but the promotion was over and it was to late.  Another order previously at KMart did print a coupon worth 65 tops.  It is dissapointing that a total of 95 box tops for my school went down the drain and I bought some really expensive toilet paper at Walgreens.  I did send a message to BTFE but have had no reply.

I shopped at the online market of the website for books through Barnes and Noble.  Ordered two different times and nothing has posted yet.  I sent an email to both Barnes and Nobles and Box Tops for Education without a resposne from either.  Has anyone shopped at the online marketplace and had it work correctly? Do I have to purchase specific items?

I have also shopped through the marketplace & noticed the same thing. I read on the btfe.com website under "common questions" that it can take 6-8 weeks for the submissions to register. Each store submits their info to box tops differently so the time frame may vary.
