Working in the school cafeteria has been a great way to come up with boxtop incentives. We have a monthly "boxtops for ala carte" program, where students can turn in a maximum of 50 cut, current,and packaged boxtops that gives them a credit for $2.50 worth of various ala carte items. On a specific date the students receive a redemtion ticket that can be used as they choose.


Our other annual program is the "pick the menu for the week". Grades K-8 have the opportunity to actually plan/pick the school menu for one week. Classrooms are given about one month to collet the most boxtops. Each classrooms boxtops are counted and recorded and the winning class is announced in the mornings announcements. They are then given the breakdown of requried food group items and the fun begins. Ever had pizza, mashed potatoes, broccoli w/cheese, and chocolate cake....yummy!! But the kids LOVE IT.
